Luciana Lamorgese

Minister of the Interior, Italy

Luciana Lamorgese was born on 11 September 1953, she is married and has two children.
Lamorgese holds a degree in Law and is qualified to practice as a lawyer.
She entered her career in March 1979 and was promoted to Deputy Prefect Inspector on 1 January 1989 and to Deputy Prefect on 1 January 1994.
Since November 2018 she has been a Councillor of State. From 5 September 2019 to 13 February 2021 she has been Minister of the Interior in the Conte II Government. From 13 February 2021 she is Minister of the Interior in the Draghi Government.
